The debate over the plebiscite is causing tension in the political scene with leaders tearing into each other as they push their political agenda.

The national assembly has approved  all the nominees to the national lands commission after amending  the  vetting report to include former Isiolo county woman representative Tiya Galgalo who had been rejected on grounds of not being tax compliant.
During a heated debate in parliament Tuesday afternoon, the politics of the handshake played out as MPs pushing for her approval insisted that Galgalo had been cleared by the Kenya revenue authority with 114 MPs against 70 approving the amended report.

President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were part of those who sent messages of condolences to the bereaved family, extolling the late musician’s contribution towards preserving culture.
De’Mathew is said to have been coming from a fund raiser when his car rammed into a truck.
